PHASES OF SELF ASCENSION - TEMPEY HAMILTON

Sprouting from the Deep South of Mobile, Alabama

I have spent my life experiencing and studying the art of personal transformation and racial healing. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Alabama and maintain licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) across multiple states. I'm also intentional about doing the work to fill the gaps in my formal education.

As a Black, queer, womxn, my courage to dream, fused with the intersectionality of my lived and professional experiences, serve as catalysts for my passion and commitment to building, implementing, and engaging in bodies of work that support people most impacted by oppression and systemic racism. As a therapist, facilitator, and travel social worker, I often interact with people and organizations during their most challenging moments of change. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) frameworks, as well as other somatic, intuitive, and ancestral practices, to support individual and collective evolution.

In all of my work, I aspire to teach by being. Whether supporting individuals through personal journeys or helping organizations navigate the complexities of racial equity, my unique blend of skills and experiences makes me a valuable partner in journeys of change and growth.
